Talk Abstract: I/O virtualization is
the next step in the evolutionary process of a virtual datacenter. This
talk will discuss the datacenter trends for I/O consolidation and
virtualization, the industry’s different approaches from network to
access layer consolidation. We will discuss some of the underlying
technologies in a building a virtual datacenter including FCoE, Single
root and multi-root I/O virtualization.
Speaker Profile: Richard Trujillo is currently the Director of Product Management and
had responsibilities as Director of Applications and Customer Support
at NextIO. He is responsible for driving product develop of NextIO
products utilizing PCI Express Single-root and Multi-root I/O
Virtualization for I/O consolidation. Before joining NextIO, Richard
was a co-founder of Conformative Systems where he led systems design
activities for an XML acceleration appliance. Prior to Conformative
Systems he held various positions at Cirrus Logic/Crystal Semiconductor
including Senior Design management and mixed signal designs for data
and telecom IC’s. He has an MSEE degree from New Mexico State
University.
